Post from member: I would appreciate some input from the group. My daughter was shot in the head 8 years ago by a soldier that returned with multiple neurological/psychological disorders. He thought aliens told him to use his AK 47 in a neighborhood and my daughter was one victim in a random shooting. Her dad and I, as caregivers, have brought her to a level of recovery that is quite a miracle, but we are way past retirement and the demands are almost more than we can endure. She is able to communicate, walk, eat normally, and is fairly well adjusted except for one problem that creates so much tension at our house I would like suggestions. She never stops talking unless she is sound asleep. She asks the same questions over and over. every minute, all day long. We have to use headphones to watch TV, leave the room to talk on the phone. I have tried writing answers, dry erase boards, tape recording, videos, ignoring her, answering her. She has her own computer and I post emails to her to try to satisfy her questions. Nothing is working. She has been like this for 8 years. She goes out with me and talks the entire time, non-stop. Does anyone else have any experience with this verbal disorder. Sometimes she cries because she wants to stop talking, but she cant.
