A win on Saturday night would give the Red Wings their 5th straight win (tying a season-high) and put them over the .500 mark for the first time this season. →*Jeff Clement’s* game-winning single extended his on-base streak to 12 games over which he has knocked in 14 of his 40 runs (35%) on the season →*Liam Hendriks* turned in his third straight quality start by tossing six scoreless frames on Friday... He’s now riding a season-high 10.0-inning scoreless streak dating back to his last start in Syracuse on Sunday when he tossed a two-run, 8.0-inning complete game... The Wings went 25 innings without scoring a run in starts made by Hendriks until the 10th inning tonight... The last run they had scored for Hendriks came in the 2nd inning on June 24 in Louisville. →*Doug Bernier* extended his hit streak to a tied for season-high nine games with an infield single in the 7th inning... Bernier is hitting .406 (13-for-32) over that span... Prior to this season, Bernier’s last nine-game hit streak was April 24-May 5, 2005 with Tulsa... Bernier’s career-high is 10 games with Visalia (A) in 2004. →*Shairon Martis* (3 ip) and *Michael Tonkin* (1 ip) combined to post four scoreless innings behind Hendriks as the bullpen as not allowed a run in their last 9.0 innings pitched dating back to the 7th inning of game two on Tuesday... Tonkin earned his first career Triple-A win and his 2nd combined on the year... This was the Wings 7th shutout of the season and first since June 7th @ GWN (11-0) and first at home since May 27 vs. LHV (5-0)... The Wings are now 3-3 in extra-inning affairs this season. →For the 2nd straight month, the Twins Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Month can be found on the Red Wings roster... 1B/OF *Chris Colabello *was named the Twins MiLB Player of the Month for the 2nd straight month after hitting .362 (34-for-94) with 8 homers and 26 RBI in 25 games with the Wings. The 8 HR and 26 RBI are the most in any month in Colabello’s career...
