Post op day 50 ~ Courtneys hair cut yesterday went good and she really enjoyed the blow dry and style. Her hair looks so pretty. The filming and interview went very well today too! They filmed her in both her Occupational and Physical therapy sessions. They were with her for about 2 hours. She was so sweet during her interview. I got teary eyed and emotional listening to her answers to the questions they asked. She has been through so much in her lifetime and still just remains so sweet and positive. From what they tell us, they will not finalize the taping until they add another segment in the future before we go home. They want to follow her and report her future progress as well. She will also have an interview over the phone with the K3 Journal tomorrow and they are sending a photographer from one of their affiliates over to get some shots of her. Everyone was teasing her today asking her for her autograph. :) She has been doing so Great in rehab that they actually released her this evening, two days earlier than her expected date!! She is such a fighter and hard worker that we werent surprised she reached all of her Goals early! She is walking more and more on her own and only using the walker when she gets tired. Unfortunately, she is not completely medically stable yet so we were moved back to the post transplant step down unit tonight. They still need to stabilize some of her labs, get her swelling in her feet and legs under control, and she needs a blood transfusion tomorrow. Hopefully we will only be here a couple of more days. Our goal is to be discharged to the Transplant House on Friday! We have Big plans for our weekend!! :) She cant wait to get some groceries and cook a few home cooked meals as well as sleep in without 5 am labs waking her up every day. #teamkidd #Courtsarockstar #soclose
