Post-trial celebrations were awesome with the guys and newfound companions Daniel Forwood and Christelle Santos, courtesy of Muntaser Mahmud needing some friends :P Today started with a sesh of bowling which was very fun with me coming second to last overall, Rohan Kapurs reliance on them guard rails and Ethan De Guzman inching 1st over Ellaine Lodge. Then John Huang and Antoni Dimitriadis joined us for lunch at El Jannah (it was the first time for most of us) which was fantastic!!! (that garlic sauce yummmers). Whilst lamer peoples went to Blacktown park the swag kids (me included) went to Woolies (gud guy Antoni supplying the sour lollies) and Playtime where Leon Wong absolutely destroyed us all in Tekken, even after a random blackout reset all the games in the place. We watched Hercules next with a random douchebag taking our seats (forcing us to disperse) with SOMEBODY in our group telling me to back off coz he had 2 kids, u know who u r traitor, especially when the guy was intentionally moving slowly like a damn turtle :L The movie was a lot of fun and the writing was far better than what is to be expected, though the plot couldve done with some repositioning to focus on the central plot points. The action was solid and well shot (none of that shaky cam bs) with a solid lead in Dwayne Johnson and serviceable secondary characters (one chick looks exactly like Nicole Kidman lol). If you need a comparison, its easily better than Clash/Wrath of the Titans and the latest 300. Hercules is popcorn fun that adds an interestingly more grounded take on the fabled hero 7/10. Anyways great way to celebrate the end of trials with great people :)
