Posted 090414 from Herald-Dispatch: RONALD E. ESCUE, 81, of Point Pleasant, died Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at home. He was born July 30, 1933, in Garretts Bend, W.Va., a son of the late Arnold W. Escue and Viola A. Tackett Escue. Ronald was a member of the Sandhill Road Church of Christ in Point Pleasant. He retired from Huntington Piping and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local No. 521 of Huntington. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of Minturn Lodge No. 19 A.F. and A.M. of Point Pleasant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Escue; and two sisters, Ruth Escue and Janet Escue. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Reynolds Escue of Point Pleasant; a daughter, Melinda Williamson of Point Pleasant; two sons, Ray Escue of Point Pleasant and Michael Escue of New York, NY; four grandchildren, Melodie Polen, Bridget Harmon, T.J. Escue, and Michaela Jo Williamson; and three great-grandchildren, Sean Jarrell, Colt Polen, and Eli Harmon. Also surviving, are one sister, Dorothy Smith of Manassas, Va.; and two brothers, Roger Escue of Sod, W.Va., and Jerry Escue of Old Hickory, Tenn. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hannah, Keith Ann, Amy, and Sandy, who provided care and support. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, September 5, 2014, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant with Richard Walker officiating. Burial will follow with masonic graveside rites given by Minturn Lodge No. 19 A.F. and A.M. of Point Pleasant, and military rites by the West Virginia Army Honor Guard.
