My grandfather name was Charles John Blann born October 25, 1906-September 19, 1973. His birthplace was Ocilla, Georgia and parents were Broadus and Catherine Blann. He married my grandmother Leslie V. James from Macon, Georgia and they were married December 26, 1928, in which three children were born. Myrtice Blann born December 17, 1929- March 17, 1960; Lizzie Mae Blann, born May 16, 1931 - October 7, 2004, and my father Verso Blann born September 9, 1933- October 6, 1995. My brother Vesro Anthony and I, are last surviving Blanns in South Florida connected to Charles John Blann. There are an older brother in North Florida, we are yet to meet directly. He visited Leslie V. Blann one day several years before Velma returned from London, England, about a decade after grandfather died (Charlie). She described him driving a motorcycle and exact resemblance of her son, my dad Verso. My elder brothers name I posit are Richard Abraham, and/or Michael Blann. Grandmother said it was Richard to be exact. Velma are unsure about there being several elder siblings, she has seen someone look as her father visited Publix Supermarket in 1983, very fair complexion, baby fine hair, dark--he looked Latin or biracial. Exact resemblance and sameness as my father. It is when Leslie V. shared with Velma a letter did come to the home addressed to her son, in 1955 about a baby born. He began driving to Avon Park frequently since then. But not anyone knew where our father were headed. My father was blushing and smoking his cigarettes when he heard the news. My concern was that my grandmother allowed someone in the home when she was alone. She was a friendly person. I ask her to please call me if he visits again. Velma was in London England when he visited her, and 2 years later she saw him at the Hub Plaza, indirectly as a customer in her line. Leaving driving a motorcycle, shoving something down in his socks--where he kept his money and behaved just as her father. However, I posted this ad for I need permission to mention the names of Charles John Blanns siblings, a book about the Blanns Legacy, which transitions unto my autobiography. My interest and goals would like to gain valid information. I have been on Face Book and many other social networks in search of the truth. I am also seeking more information on the James family members. For those I spoke with (2nd cousins), them did not have very much information about Rev Charles James, of Macon, Ga., death. He was found in 1922, with an ax in his head with the handle lying beside him. Though he was a prominent pastor in the community of Macon, not anyone seem to speak much about his death. My grandmother Leslie was very disappointed for she wanted to be a school teacher. She was the eldest of his 14 children and had to leave school to work the fields on a plantation. If anyone would like to be apart of this project to assist me a doctoral fellow, please feel free to send to me all the information you have to complete my book in the near future giving rest to Blann- James Legacy. It would be kindly appreciated. Email me here. God Bless you. Velma Blann, Ph.D. (doctoral fellow). .
