Posted a video up on Youtube with my record player clearly playing - TopicsExpress

Posted a video up on Youtube with my record player clearly playing a record and the video got flagged for soundtrack copyright infringement. I lodged a dispute saying that I clearly own the material in question and that the song identified was clearly recorded as ambient noise and not added in post production. Where will it end? Will the powers that be start placing IP infringement on videos that have incidental recordings on them that are captured as part of the audio track and not added in post production i.e. making a video walking past a record shop or driving in someones car with the radio on and getting flagged for that... People are trying to impose their IP rights on me when I am a paying consumer... Anyway, thats the way I see it. Whats everyone elses opinion.. Also, re the record player, if I want to demonstrate that it works, how best would I do that without playing a record ? Is Vimeo as stringent? ?
