Posted as received..... My wife and I, both senior citizens, have been covered for Health Insurance with ICICI Lombard for the last eight years and had built up substantial ‘No Claim Bonus’ over this time. These policies have now been unilaterally withdrawn by the company even though they were renewable for as long as premiums were paid . The company has instead offered new policies with a six fold increase in premium rates, thus effectively leaving us with no cover when we need it most. Number of communications to IRDA has elicited no response. With our judicial system clogged, there is no recourse except for consumer awareness and resistance against such legally and morally wrong practices. I am putting this in the public domain to caution those who have taken out or are intending to take similar insurance cover. Please forward this mail to your friends and associates so that it gets maximum publicity in social and e-media.
