A cancer fighting berry has been discovered in Far North Queensland, Australia. A team of scientists has thoroughly studied the cancer fighting properties that are found within a particular berry that is found nowhere else in the world. The eight-year study, according to a report confirmed by ABC News Australia, has been led by Dr. Glen Boyle of the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute. Based on the findings of his studies, there is a compound found inside of the actual berry that could potentially kill tumors as well as melanomas found in the head and neck. During the course of the actual study, this cancer fighting compound was developed into an experimental drug known as EBC-46. EBC-46 was used within an extensive case study on 300 different animals — including horses, dogs and cats. Based on the conclusions drawn from Dr. Boyle’s reports, the tumor disappeared in over 75 percent of those cases. The best part is that the tumors that disappeared did not return. Further studies of the compound used in the experimental drug confirm that it works effectively in three different ways. First, the tumor cells are killed off directly. Second, the bloody supply is cut off. Third, the subject’s immune system is activated in order to clean up the mess on its own. Even though Dr. Boyle stated in a recent interview that the overall compound purification process is “complicated,” he also stated that the most surprising part about this cancer fighting compound was not that it works – but rather how fast it works. “The surprising thing for us and the thing that we don’t see very often is the speed with which this occurs. Usually when you treat a [tumor] it takes several weeks for it to resolve, but this is very, very rapid.” Based on Dr. Boyle’s statement, the drug is able to work within just a few minutes and cause tumors to disappear within just a few days. Thanks to the successful trial experiments on animals, Dr. Boyle strongly believes that this cancer fighting compound could also be effective in human patients – with a small catch. Dr. Boyle warned that the tumors that could potentially be treated by this drug have to directly accessed through direct injection.Otherwise, it would be rendered ineffective. Boyle also stated that this experimental drug is not effective at all against cancers that have already metastasized, but could be used as an additional treatment option — not as a replacement for surgery or chemotherapy. Even with that small setback, this cancer fighting berry can prove to be revolutionary — pushing the world of medicine one step closer to finding a permanent cure for cancer and terminal illness in general.
