Posted in the Kiowa Elections News group, Henry A. Ware: You women have brought up many of the issues wrong with this whole tribal situation. What should be clear is Politics, regardless of what side you take has destroyed this Tribe. We have politics involved in everything that the Tribe does, even when we are trying to run a legitimate business venture (gaming) that is regulated by federal law. I even heard on occasion folks saying the KCOA should be done away with, when federal law requires it to be in existance as a pre-requisite to any gaming activity in Indian country. All I can say is thank goodness for federal law because based on some of your arguments you would have paid yourself a per capita payment, breached the contract and violated federal law. We will never succeed in anything because your poltics runs this Tribe. How about you guys/ladies making a move to fix the problem instead of pointing at each others and pointing to administrative processes that do not work. If the system is working right we should not be in this state but yet we are--people have griped, asked to recall/remove folks but have not proposed a real fix to the problem. We do need a better constitution, one with a legitimate legal system in place to decide these power struggles in a timely manner. When and if the dust should clear think about the big picture here and lets fix it. 4 hours ago My God!... This guy is still trying to push a new constitution onto the Kiowa people... Here we have a guy who knows absolutely nothing about drafting a new constitution and only seeks it for his own personal benefit... He writes comments when things get a little heated and tries to make it seem like he is for the people and yet he continues to say little off track statements that clearly show his true intent... This guy isnt concerned with the Kiowa peoples future/fate as a whole... This is why he continues to promote a complete constitution that favors an unfair and impossible sectioned Government... He wants 6 or 7 different representatives for certain well thought out/planned areas... He continues to tell everyone that we have a broken system... He fails to tell everyone that any system no matter how good it is will fail if you continue to have crooks who thrive from greed run it... A Government is only as good as those you elect into it, and it doesnt matter what kind of constitution you have to guide those who you elect to represent you... LIARS, CHEATERS, CORRUPT, DISHONEST, GREEDY THEIVES will never give the people what belongs to them when all they can do is take for themselves... When a new game is invented in order for it to serve its purpose, you must follow the rules when you play it and NO CHEATING!... When you cheat you break the rules and you defeat the purpose and intent of the game... I dont know about the rest of my fellow Kiowas, but I myself am really tired of seeing this crazy talking guy telling you KIC members who we all know is in fact the Governing body of the Kiowa nation that you have no authority or power... Remember how he will comment saying those things like Quote, What power does the KIC really have? Unquote. He then goes on to say the KIC has no power. He talks from both sides of his mouth by saying he knows there is things wrong but then he claims those we all know who have been recalled and who have caused this problem is doing a good job... Well if the KBC has the power and the KIC doesnt then why have they not done anything positive from the first day to this present day that they have been in there?... He blames anyone who tells the truth for the mess we are in. He claims those who we elect to represent us as a Nation needs to have a college degree... Why?. I guess he doesnt realize he is really saying that he would rather have a white person, a non-Kiowa instead... You run out there and get that college degree and then come back to us and show us how much KIOWA that degree has taught you.. Show us how that degree taught you to be KIOWA because that is what is most important of those who we need to represent the Kiowa Nation... (Keep in mind that understanding the Kiowa people, the Kiowa ways does not mean we need to stay the same and live in todays world as if we are still back in the 1850s... We must catch up to the times but we must still keep our heritage alive... Evolution, growth and a different way of life all comes with change and the trick is to make those changes and still keep our culture alive but updated... That is the price of survival in todays world... This guy here tries to make crazy claims about politics being the cause of this mess, yet he promotes the biggest political subjects... If you do not want politics then you do not need to be talking about constitutions especially when you have no clue what you are talking about in the first place... If you do not want politics, then you do not need to have a Government... If you do not want honesty, then just keep promoting lies and false claims of what you call the cause/reason for the mess the Kiowa Nation is in today... Anything to keep the turmoil flowing... Nothing to provide and protect the Kiowa people as a whole... For shame, For shame, For shame... Shame on you who tries to cover up the truth that all others can clearly see...
