Posted on July 5, 2013 by Shreyes Shekhar Higuain photographed flying into London Arsenal finally appear close to signing Real Madrid centre-forward Gonzalo Higuain after he was photographed at Madrid Airport, appearing to head towards London for talks, The Daily Star reports. Following Higuain’s father’s revelation that ‘We have been given permission by Real Madrid to negotiate with Arsenal,” it appeared that Arsenal would finally get their man. After wrangling over the amount of the bid, following manager Arsene Wenger’s reticence to shell out more than 20 million pounds, it is evident that only personal terms now need to be agreed between the two entities. It is understood that Arsenal have managed to settle the bid for Higuain closer to their original offer price, which would make the 25-year-old Argentine striker the most expensive player in the Gunners’ history. Should Higuain not object to the terms put forward by Wenger, it would appear that Arsenal have signed the natural goalscorer their fans have desired since Robin van Persie left the London club for Manchester United
