Posted this yesterday but I want to know your opinions on this as fans in the music business and also your opinions as artists. Please read and respond in the comments below. THIS IS JUST AN IDEA BUT IM INTERESTED IN KNOWING YOUR OPINIONS. So Hellforge Records is (MAYBE) going to be doing a compilation of sorts to build a community around the label and to offer services for artists/bands that otherwise wouldnt be able to afford full EP/Album production. Once a month we will make a call out to bands/artists to write a song and record it with us, we will select ONE SONG, the best of the bunch, and work hard with the artist/band to make sure its the best possible quality that song can be. We then donate artwork services and video services so a presentable promotional video/play through/whatever can be posted. The songs then can be downloaded/viewed for free and as a label we would stick to our belief that the artists would retain all rights to the song (as long as they agree that we can post the song for our youtube channel and promote it). We get more opportunities to work with more artists/bands, the artists/bands that make the song get a quality song and promotional video for free all while creating a strong community by giving people the opportunity to listen to artists that might have never got a shot to show their stuff to the world.
