Posting for a neighboring friend. THESE ARE NOT MY ANIMALS AND I CANT ANSWER QUESTIONS. Please contact owner directly. irishkaskillman@yahoo Located in Staunton , Va. I have 2 doelings/sisters for sale. They are 16 months old, totally natural raised. Have not been vaccinated or treated with any kind of chemicals. They were on the pasture since 3 days old and dam raised till they were 6 months old. Their 2.5 year old dam (Oberhasly/Nubian x 4th generation miniature Nubian) have never had any health problems . As a FF she kidded with 3, and second freshening with 5, she did not need any assistance either time she kidded. She is a very good milker and easy keeper. She was bred back to her sire when she had these doelings, and they look like miniature Nubians with a nice roman nose. They are a medium sized goats. Pepper ( black& brown): quiet, not picky eaters. Will eat any veggies from my garden, will jump like a pro onto the milking stand for hoof trimming and that is the only time when I will give her a little bit of fermented grain since we did not breed her. Cocoa( brown &white) kidded with twin bucklings and freshened with 6 cups of milk at each milking twice a day. She did have a complication after delivery- she was contracting for a long time after she had last kid. I truly believe it was my fault, as she was my only expecting mini I probably was giving her a little bit more grain during the pregnancy then she should receive for her size, and her contractions was caused by the size of her kids. I spent the night with her in the barn to make sure she was fine. She is very good on milk stand and at this time will give 1 quart of milk with once a day milking. I tested my only 3 does in milk, including their dam and granddam, in November 2013. And they were CAE, CL free. These doelings were not old enough to be tested. Sadly, I have decided to sell these two doelings, as they are my only mini’s and to keep my herd somewhat small. The only unusual thing about these sisters is that they started to sneeze with a cud since this spring and I relate it to some kind of allergy. If you are just starting to raise goats I know it would be a lot for you to learn about these animals that we fell in love with, but I will always try to help if you will have any questions and I will share my knowledge of raising goats naturally. I truly believe these girls would be good milkers and you will be happy with them. I would prefer for them to go together. 475$ for the pair.
