Posting on behalf of Mark Glassey. Today, Discount Carpets gave away over £1000 worth of roll ends on this page. We would like to apologise to anybody that has contacted me in desperate need of carpet. We had hoped in doing this that we could help lots of people, as we know lots of people have been allocated houses lately and are struggling to furnish them. There should of been plenty for everyone as there was well over 100 of them. Unfortunately, people didnt just come and take what they needed, some people crammed their cars and vans so full that they could barely fit back in them & some people returned in their cars to refill them more than once. We are very disappointed that more people did not benefit from what we did today, thank you to the couple of genuine people that took only what they needed and came into the shop to say thanks, including the kind lady that brought us a bottle of wine as thanks. Many more people could of been helped today only for the greed of others. As most of you will know, this is not the first time we have given roll ends away on this site, we generally do it about every 5 months, So it is with regret that we have decided that we will not be doing this again, once again sorry to those that missed out. I am sorry to Mark but this is a pasting of the original. I am leaving the pasting as I feel Mark has a right to show his kindness but ask that no further comments be made on here.
