He did this, I think, not because people are stupid, but because the propaganda system was so complete that he had to pound it out of their heads with more than one story. So heres one about me: I used to be a fine shot with a pistol. This was when I was a teenager, and several of you whove known me that long can vouch for it. One day I had set up a beer can about twenty yards away and I was attmpting to shoot it. I fired a shot and the can didnt move. I took aim again and squeezed off another. Still the can didnt move. After the third shot, I walked up to the can to determine what the problem was. And there, in the middle of the can, was one ragged hole. All 3 shots had hit so close to center that they didnt disturb the can. And the moral of the story is, I can shoot just fine, even when Im drunk.
