Posting to help prevent this from happening to others, and make everyone aware that the likelihood of carbon monoxide being present in your home is much much higher in the winter. After snow storms, check all ventilation to ensure its not blocked with ice or snow. Be sure you have detectors in your home and install them properly, in the correct areas. CO is a gas that inhibits the bloods capacity to carry oxygen. Symptoms are: mild-slight headache, nausea, vomiting, fatigue; medium-severe throbbing headache, drowsiness, confusion, fast heart rate; extreme-unconsciousness, convulsions, cardio-respiratory failure, death.
