Postings, about lack of moorings, and yesterdays about damage that - TopicsExpress

Postings, about lack of moorings, and yesterdays about damage that can be caused to boats by ice, got me thinking about..... a) that actually the canal is an unsuitable place for grp boats, and that theyd do better on rivers and the sea, where there is less to no chance of freezing water...b) that no new shiny boats, should be allowed. CaRT should encourage the restoration, and refurbishment of heritage, old, and pre loved vessels.....to introduce a new boat on the water, you have to officially take an old one out, and dispose of it properly. Once there are no old boats for sale anymore, then an assessment could be carried out by CaRT, to see where there was room on the system for more boats, and only then, with a special order permit ( that you would have had to have been on a waiting list for years to get ), could you then, introduce a new build to the waterways. :)
