Posture of the Week - The quarter turn and punch under Elbow. From single whip, ease your weight back into the right leg. Keep the arms as they are. Allow the toes of the left foot to lift off the floor. Then turn the waist and torso a quarter of a turn left (so you are now facing the 9 O’clock position, West). Your arms are held in the same position but turn slightly, with the turn of the waist. The left foot also turns and then relaxes back on the floor. Again, holding the arms as they, shift the weight into the left leg and are step diagonally forward with the right foot. Empty step. Little wait in the right leg yet. The wait at this point is still in the left. Then, as you shift the weight forward into the right leg, turn the entire waist and torso to the left and the arms travel with the turn. Turn through 90 degrees and the upper wrist of the right hand would travel round as a strike to the temple. Release the hook in the right hand. Step through and forwards with the left foot and at the same time the left hand sweeps down and through, coming up in an arc hand held by the left side. The right hand, at the same time arcs out and down to the right and then forms a soft punch under the left elbow. (It would be a punch to the kidney area of an opponent). The weight stays in the right foot. The left foot simply rests on the heel in front.
