PowerStart:January 1, 2015 Welcome to the first day of 2015! This is a beginning of a new year, a time when we set goals and vow to be the best we can be. We determine to start or finish projects, we resolve to lose weight, stop smoking, or to live out our dreams. Mostly, though we have good intentions, its a time that we set goals that we rarely even attempt to attain and we find ourselves at the end of the year pretty much, for a number of reasons, in the same place we were in the previous year. Instead of setting ourselves up for failure once again this year why not make a decision to live the life God created just for you. Thats right, you have a God-designed life that is Uniquely Yours! No one else can live it but You! It contains specific propserity, gifts, talents, creativity, abundance, favor, love, healing, peace, mercy, assignments, grace, people, places and things designed especially for you by the God of the universe. The first step in receiving your God-designed life is receiving His Son, Jesus Christ. If yòu are already a believer, then lets rededicate ourselves to living out our God created purpose. If you have never received Christ it is real simple to do. The bible tells us that because God loved us (you and I) so much that He sent Jesus (His Son) to pay for our sins by dying on the cross. (John 3:16) Not only did Jesus die for our sins but He rose from the grave so that you and I could have the power needed to live out our God-designed life. Salvation is a free gift. (Ephesians 2:8-9) If you believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and confess/say with your mouth that He is your Lord, you can have the free gift of salvation and your God-designed life. (Romans 10:9) If you are ready to have a Power Start to your year and receive Jesus just say the following prayer out loud from your heart: Dear Lord Jesus, I am a sinner and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus Name. Amen. If you have prayed that prayer, Congratulations! You are now a born-again believer and an heir to ALL the promises of God. Lets all ask the Holy Spirit to enpower us in this new year, to walk in the newness of life that Jesus Christ, through the shedding of His blood, has provided for us. Be encouraged, be strategic, be powerful, put God first and soar! Its important to read your bible daily so that you can grow and recieve instruction from God on how to navigate your new life. Also, its important that you talk to Him, and listen to Him talk to you. This is done through prayer, talking to Him like you talk to a close friend. Going to regular church services so you can build your faith and have the love and support of other believers is extremely important. If you are a member of a church I encourage you to attend regularly and engage yourself in the ministry. If you dont have a church, I recommend the one below or attend one in your area, but GET CONNECTED! God bless you!
