“Powerful … a lyrical and beautifully told story … stunning mountain scenery and absolutely authentic Basotho characters … the first movie I have seen that does not depict poverty in a negative way.” These were some of the comments from a guests at the April 9 premiere of “The Forgotten Kingdom,” a film shot in South Africa and Lesotho that was supported by the U.S. Government through PEPFAR for its very positive message on HIV/AIDS. The film, written and directed by Andrew Mudge, won multiple international awards and was selected for several prestigious film festivals. The premier was hosted by United States Consul General Earl Miller and Ster Kinekor at The Zone in Rosebank.
