PrEViEw TiMe AgAiN! Today we have 020 Firestorm, and 041 Deathstorm from DC Heroclix: Trinity War! Firsestorm is 140pts and has an opening attack special that lets him use Energy Explosion and Precision Strike. Real nice ... but his trait is quite interesting. Firestorm here can ignore all damage dealt by a figure assigned a resource. Like, all of it. He does need to roll a D6 to determine if he will deal himself 1 unavoidable, but that is still a real sweet and potential game-changing power. Cool! I think with those two powers, he can definitely be worth the cost. Deathstorm is a bit tougher for me to justify the 150pt cost, but with the right support pieces helping him out, I think he could be nasty. He ignores hindering and elevated terrain with his Improved Targeting. He also has a special perplex power that allows him to perplex +/- 2 to figures 75pts or less (any combat ability except damage that is). And lastly, a special that allows him to potentially heal pretty easily with a D6 roll after being attacked from range. Not bad, but I still think a bit steep in cost for what he does.
