Practical Stress Management Tips to Beat The Monday Blues: Unless your response is important, avoid checking the corporate mail on weekends. As much as possible, unplug from your company phone or laptop because you want to focus on getting as much rest as you can. If there’s something you haven’t finished over the workweek, however, set aside a specific time for working. For instance, spend the morning and afternoon with your family, then work for two to three hours maximum after dinner. Don’t go beyond that time unless you can bill the company for the extra work. Be sure to spend more “off” time and don’t ever make your loved ones feel that your job is more important during weekends.
