In traditional Yoruba culture salvation is being remembered well for seven generations into the future. This is the reason for the emphasis on the development of iwa pele or good character. We remember those who taught us by their actions how to live well in the world. The sixteen principles of Creation are coded into the text of odu meji in Ifa. These principles describe the cycles of life death transformation and rebirth in different realms of being. The first eight odu meji describe the descent of ase from orun to aye and the second eight odu meji describe the ascent of ase from aye to orun. These principles are a manifestation of what science calls the conservation of energy, it is the idea that nothing in Creation is either created or destroyed it is merely transformed. If you look at the tests being done on the cyclotron in Switzerland these tests are giving us a view of creation that is consistent with the principles of odu. According to Ifa the process of life death transformation and rebirth is constantly being refueled by the infusion of ase from orun to aye. The cycotron in Switzerland is literally saying the same thing. According to the science of quantum physics the universe is sustained through an infusion of light from alternative dimensions. Ifa says there are seven manifestations of orun or seven invisible realms of creation. Quantum physics says there are ten realms of creation different number, same idea. The latest discovery in quantum physics is a mind boggler. Western science has discovered that the structure of DNA is coded into the forces of gravity. In Ifa contractive energy is feminine so science is saying that the primal female force in the universe carries the seed of human life. That is consistent with the ifa concept of iyaami. Science says the latent DNA in gravity becomes manifest when it comes in contract with light. That is consistent with the Ifa concept of Ela.
