Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting. FASTING - DAY 21 Praise God for victory ! For breaking chains off your family, off your body, off your finances ! II Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. II Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: Isaiah 50:2 Wherefore, when I came, was there no man ? when I called, was there none to answer ? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem ? or have I no power to deliver ? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst. Isaiah 42:13 The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, He shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: He shall cry, yes, roar; He shall prevail against his enemies. PRAYER AND FASTING Read Isaiah 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen ? to loosen the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke ? Day 1 : God is calling His people today, to sanctify a fast. Read Joel 1:13-14; 2:15-18. Day 2 : Fasting is more than not eating. It involves humbling ourselves before God, genuine sorrow for our sins and a repentant heart. Read Joel 2:12-13. Day 3 : When we fast, we must not be like Pharisees. Jesus has taught us to fast from a pure heart, only unto God. (Matthew 6:16-18). Day 4 : Through Prayer and Fasting, God will destroy the work of the enemy and give you victory in the circumatances you are facing. (II Chronicles 20:1-19). Day 5 : Through Prayer and Fasting, God will deliver you in times of trouble. Paul and the men aboard the ship going to Rome fasted for fourteen days, and God spared their lives during a raging storm ..... not one of the 276 men aboard was lost. (Acts 27:1-44). Day 6 : Prayer and Fasting breaks through satans line of defence and enables you to take victory God has already provided for you. From the very first day, God heard Daniel : but on the 21st day, as he persevered, the power of the enemy was broken and the answer came ! (Daniel 10:1-21). Day 7 : God is calling us to fast and pray to break satans stranglehold on our nations. We must pray that God will forgive the sins of our nation and release a wave of conviction and repentance across our land. After 40 days of prayer and fasting, God heard Moses and spared Israel. (Deuteronomy 9:23-29; 10:1-10). Day 8 : Gods Word declares : I am thee Lord that healeth the (Exodus 15:26). Confess this promise out ... speak Gods language. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is your healer; by the power and authority of His Word, receive and claim your healing. Exodus 15:26. Day 9 : God forgives all sins and heals all diseases. As you have received His forgiveness of your sins; now receive and and believe Him to heal your physical body. Read Psalm 103:2-3. Day 10 : God has sent His Word to heal you. His Word became flesh and is living in you ! By His Word, you are healed ! (Psalm 107:20). Day 11 : 1 A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. (Psalm 103:5). 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagles. Day 12 : I John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. (I John 3:8). Day 13 : They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mark 16:18). Day 14 : Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day. (Psalm 71:8). 14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more. 15 My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof. 16 I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only. (Psalm 71:14-16). Day 15 : 24 Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed. (I Peter 2:24). Day 16 : O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever. 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; 3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. 4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. 5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. 6 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses. 7 And He led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. 8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men ! (Psalm 107:1-8). Days 19 & 20 : 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. 3 Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shall thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come near thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shall thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come near thy dwelling. 11 For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shall thou trample under feet. 14 Because He hath set His love upon me, therefore will I deliver Him: I will set Him on high, because He hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer Him: I will be with Him in trouble; I will deliver Him, and honour Him. 16 With long life will I satisfy Him, and show Him my salvation. Concerning this Prayer and Fasting, it is crucial for you to know what God is directing us to do. If you do not understand the spiritual significance of what we are doing, you will not be able to experience in your life the tremendous breakthroughs God has promised. Christ himself has said this kind can come out only by prayer and fasting. (Mark 9:29; Matthew 17:21). We are praying and fasting to break the chains of bondage of our families ...... off our bodies .... off our finances off our ministry ....... off our nation... WHY SHOULD I FAST ? God has chosen this fast for this specific time, and He is calling you to be a part of it. God has shown me that the enemy has penetrated the circumstances of Gods people so strongly that the only way we are going to be able to break the bonds of the enemy is through united, deep spiritual penetration ..... through fasting and prayer. It is not enough for Christians to pray for small, mediocre prayers which on the surface appear to produce results. On the surface, they are getting blessed. They may be attending great meetings, where they are praising God. When they leave the meetings and go home, has anything significant really changed ? Their healing has not come ...... their financial difficulties are still there ....... the problems in their families have not been resolved ..... their children have continued disobeying and causing lot of anxiety, worry and fear .... the husband has not relented and has not taken back his wife .... the wife parents have not stopped laughing and commenting nasty remarks .... the father has not stopped shouting for chatting on Facebook getting guidance on how to proceed in life ... so on and so forth. Infact the attack of the enemy intensifies. God has chosen Fasting as a way to go beyond the surface, into the spirit world, lay the axe to the root of the tree, and bring about incredible victories. PRAYER AND FASTING WILL ENABLE YOU TO BREAK satans LINE OF RESISTANCE ! Jesus revealed to us that fasting is a powerful key to unrealized spiritual power. When His disciples were unable to cast a demon spirit out of a young boy, they came to Jesus and asked Him the reason why. He told them, Because of your unbelief : for verily I say unto you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place : and it shall remove : and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (Matthew 17:20). Now notice the key : However this kind goes not out but by prayer and fasting. (Matthew 17:21). You may be facing situations and problems that are causing you to be confused and afraid. You do not know even how to pray concerning them. The enemy may be attacking in your finances. Your debts keep piling up. And regardless of how hard you try, there is never enough money to go around. Your mind has been in constant turmoil. It may be that the enemy is attacking you physically and mentally. Your strength seems to be gone, discouragement and doubt are setting in. You have done everything you know to do. You have wept. You have pleaded. You have cried out to God. Yet it seems that your prayers are not getting through. There are spiritual forces that are hindering and blocking you from receiving the breakthrough you need ! The only power strong enough to penetrate these evil forces and pull down these strongholds ..... in your life, in your home, community and nation .... is Prayer and Fasting. Fasting is not simply a religious act for us to observe : it is a means of bringing on to a spiritual plane, where the faith that moves mountains is released into our lives, and our prayers become powerful and mighty to the pulling down of satans strongholds. GODS POWER IS RELEASED IN YOUR LIFE AS YOU FAST AND PRAY ! Jesus has given us the key to the release of the power of God to work on our behalf .... * to deliver us out of the hands of our enemies........ * to reveal His will to us ..... * to provide for all our needs ..... * to strengthen us in times of trouble ....... Prayer and Fasting is that key ! It is a proven fact that, when you fast properly, it not only cleanses the impurities and toxins out of your body, but you come into tremendous and unusual prayer power. Fasting energizes power : It enables us to break down every barrier and take possession of the things we need from God. THROUGH PRAYER AND FASTING WE CAN MOVE THE HAND OF GOD ! When God was ready to destroy the nation of Israel because of their disobedence, Moses fasted for forty days and nights (Deuteronomy 9:18-19). During that time he ate no food and drank no water. As a result of this type of fasting, God reversed His decision to destroy them and the nation of Israel was spared. All because one man was willing to fast and pray ! When the children of Israel were greatly outnumbered in battle by their enemies, King Jehoshaphat proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. As the people fasted and cried out to God, He supernaturally delivered them out of the hands of their enemies. Their enemies turned against one another and were slain before them on the battlefield. (II Chronicles 20:1-29). Regardless of the circumstances you are facing ... physically .... financially ....... family crisis .... whatever circumstances the enemy is using to attack you .... through Fasting and Prayer God will turn your circumstances around. He will not only deliver you out of the hands of the enemy, He will meet the needs in your life. Through Prayer and Fasting, we are going deep into the spirit realm to break the chains of bondage off your body .... off your finances and off your family ! THROUGH PRAYER AND FASTING, WE WILL BREAK THE ENEMYS STRANGLEHOLD ! Every nation today is facing a crisis. We must rise up now, in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, to fast on behalf of our cities anf on behalf of our nations ..... on behalf of the lost and dying souls. GOD is calling us ... you and me ...... to join together now ! If we fail to heed this call and do not begin to take the spiritual authority God has given us over the demonic forces that are now working to control our governments and our nations, there is no hope ! HOW CAN I FAST ? There are different types of fasts recorded in the Bible : * A total or complete fast, where neither food or water is consumed : In this type of fast, a complete fast, natural hunger usually leaves by the third or fourth day and returns in about 21 days or 40 days or longer. There are two different instances recorded when Moses lasted forty days and forty nights, where he neither ate nor drank water. (Exodus 34:28; Deuteronomy 9:18-20). The King of Nineveh proclaimed a fast throughout Nineveh, where neither man nor beast could eat or drink. * A fast where only water is consumed : Before Jesus began His ministry, He fasted forty days and forty nights. During that time He ate nothing : And in those days He did eat nothing : and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. (Luke 4:2). Following this time of fasting, angels came and ministered to Him. (Matthew 4:11). * A partial fast, where an individual abstains from eating specific foods, and eats only vegetables or drinks only liquids : Daniel fasted 21 days. During that time, he did not eat meat or drink any wine. In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled. (Daniel 10:2-3). There were many times when the prophets and leaders of nations called for a fast throughout the land. King Jehoshaphat proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah (II Chronicles 20:1-29); The King of Nineveh proclaimed a public fast (Jonah 3:8-9); The Prophet Ezra proclaimed a fast throughout Israel. (Ezra 8:21). God spoke through the Prophet Joel, calling a fast throughout Israel. (Joel 1:13-14). HOW SHALL YOU FAST ? SEEK GODS DIRECTION CONCERNING THE COMMITMENT HE WANTS YOU TO MAKE ! During this 21 days of Prayer and Fasting, God has called us to do, I am not going to tell you how or when you are to fast. It is important for you to seek Gods direction and obey what He directs you to do. God will not ask you to do anything He will not enable you to do. 1. Some of you He will ask to fast the entire 21 days, along with me. 2. Some of you He will ask to fast one day a week during these three weeks. This is the minimum commitment I am asking you to make. 3. He may direct you to fast one or two meals a day for several days. 4. Or, you may fast all day, each day, and in the evening eat a light meal ....and repeat this for 21 days. There are many people today who are afraid to fast because they think it will weaken them or that they will become ill. According to many documented cases by medical doctors, fasting is one of the most healthy practices and actually increases strength. Fasting for a period of time allows the digestive system to rest, as well as relieves the heart and arteries, giving them a rest. During fasting, the blood is purifed. It increases the elimination of toxins and waste from the blood and the tissues. There is no real spiritual benefit to be gained simply by abstaining from eating. There are people who fast purely for health reasons. It is not the self-denial and bringing of the fleshy appetite into submission that is so important and moves the hand of God. Fasting is a means of humbling ourselves before God through repentance. During the 21 day period of Prayer and Fasting, God is calling us to go very deep in the spirit world. Set aside a specific time each day to shut yourself in with God. God is saying to us : turn you even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning : And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God. (Joel 2:12-13). As you take this first step with me and make a commitment before God in Fasting and Prayer, you are going to experience a new prayer power. As we join together in a prayer of agreement, Gods power is going to be released to break the chains satan has been using to try to defeat you, and you are going to take the victories God has promised you. SACRIFICES OF PRAISE : WHEN YOU LEARN THIS SECRET, SATAN WILL NEVER AGAIN BE ABLE TO DEFEAT YOU ! As we have been Praying and Fasting, many chains have been broken and are falling off. As you have been taking the Steps of Faith, I BELIEVE that you have been feeling the strength and impact of our prayers and have already begun to experience breakthrough in your life. The next STEP OF FAITH IS THE KEY TO YOUR VICTORY : When you learn to praise God .... offering up sacrifices of praise unto Him ....... ..... no matter how impossible your situation or problems appear to be ... .... no matter how much discouraged and defeated you mau feel ..... ..... you are making room for God to work for you ! REMEMBER ... This is GODS WORD to you : satan will never ever again be able to defeat you ! Why ? Because you will learn the secret of offering up the sacrifices of praise to GOD. GOD cannot come in and work for you until you begin to praise Him for the answer. WHAT IS PRAISE ? Praise is much more than jist speaking words. It is not something that is done lightly or half heartedly. It is a Worship unto God, an expression of thanksgiving and praise from the heart. First of all, for who He is, and then for His manifold blessings and all that He has done for us. Praise involves more than lifting our hands and praising God. Offering praise to God should be a way of life. Throughout the day, in everything we do, we should be praising GOD. (Please read I Thessalonians 5:18; 17). The mighty warrior King David wrote : I will bless the LORD at all times : His praise shall continually be in my mouth. (Psalm 34:1). We are to praise Him at all times ! That means when things are going well, as well as when they are going bad and when it seems that everything is crashing in on us from every side. We are to offer up praise to Him when we are happy and blessed, as well as when we are sad and walking through a time of great testing and trial. Our mouths are to be filled continually with praises unto God .... for His faithfulness .... His mercy .... His love ..... His provision ...... His blessings ..... all His works ...... for all that He has done and continues to do for us. In our homes, on the job, at the market place, driving, wherever we are, we are to speak forth His praises ! David said, All thy works shall praise thee; O LORD; and they saints shall bless thee. Thry shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His Kingdom. (Psalm 145:10-12).
