Praise the living God!!! Dear ones, I strongly hear a voice in my spirit saying ARISE AND GIVE THANKS TO GOD. Its NOT easy to give thanks when all things are NOT alright BUT OBEDIENCE IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE; Its thanking God for who he is; Oh God, in all these things, I will give thanks to you!!!! NB: Ungratefulness is one of the worst of all sins. Multitudes enjoy the blessings of life, food, home, friends, health, and a land of freedom--and never even say Thank you to God. How this lack of appreciation must grieve the heavenly Father! Dear ones, the world is full of evil and our lives are not all sunshine, but we ought to be grateful to God and we ought to express our gratefulness to Him. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations (Psalm 100: 4, 5). Among many others, here are Ten things for which we can express our thanks. 1.GIFT OF Life. We are always only one heartbeat from death. God alone gives life and sustains life. Even the wicked and ungodly live through the gift of God. All life is in His hand, for He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things (Acts 17:25). The poorest of us have some good things--some health, some friends, some food, some clothing, some sunshine. We need to emphasize these blessings more. 2. Gift of Health……Millions are hospitalized all over the world. 3. Gift of Salvation….You are a child of God through Salvation; Salvation. II Corinthians 9:15 (NLT) Thank God for His Son-a gift too wonderful for words! No matter what a failure we have made of life, we can turn in faith to Christ and find salvation. It is free, and it is offered to everyone on earth, and does not depend on wealth, education, good looks, friends, or influence. Surely we should be thankful that the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men (Titus 2:11) 4. Gift of a land of freedom. For a land of religious liberty, we can thank God every day. Sometimes we forget what blood and toil and sacrifice won this freedom for us. We are used to liberty and take it as a matter of course. Let us be grateful! 5. Gift of The Bible….word of God; Psalms.119:105. Luke: 4:4. We should thank God for his word which guides us and strengthens us. The word of God is a foundation for our life . When the storms of life blow upon us the word of God is an anchor for our soul. It gives us hope and encouragement and guidance and warning. We must always thank God for His word. Just think what the world would be like without it, and thank God for His blessed Word that liveth and abideth for ever (1 Peter 1:23). 6. Gift of God’s Peace ……The world is unstable. There are millions who missed service today, who dint eat today because they couldn’t walk out of their houses to buy food. Children out of school. Peace ….John 14: 27 7. Gift of God fulfills His promises to us. Psalms 71:22; Then I will praise you with music on the harp, because You are faithful to Your promises, O God. I will sing for You with a lyre, O Holy One of Israel. Psalms 138:1-2 I give you thanks, O Lord, with all my heart; I will sing Your praises before the gods. I bow before Your Holy Temple as I worship. I will give thanks to Your name for Your unfailing love and faithfulness, because Your promises are backed by all the honor of Your name. 8. Gift of Hope : we must thank God for the blessed hope. Soon all the shadows of earth will be lifted--death and tears and heartache will forever pass away. Christ is coming. It is time to be glad. Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:4-6). 9: Gift of friends. At least you can call somebody to come rescue you or share your heart out. Thank God for that. 10; Gift of families. Africa leads in tracing the roots of our past. We realize we have relatives to trace. The worst sinner is still connected. Thank God you have that background. NB: THIS SUNDAY 16TH NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER 21ST 2PM TO 5.30PM, WELCOME FOR A THANKSGIVING INTERDENOMINATIONAL SERVICE AT PBB MINISTRIES TEMPLE-NGAARA; REMEMBER TO THANK GOD FOR GIVING US A BEAUTIFUL, PEACEFUL COUNTRY! .....FOR GOD WILL NOT LET KENYA GO!!!!
