Praises and Prayers…Especially for those of you who appreciate specifics... Answered prayers... In therapy, Ian has graduated. His PT will be more sport focused. He is very eager to move to regular workouts. A personal trainer requested for Christmas! It is challenging because his ability is very unbalanced and the body learns to compensate (which isnt always good). But he finds things he can do! Praise for the completion of high school this semester with the help of a home hospital tutor! Praise for his sustained good attitude. Praise that he continues to see improvements, even if small. Praise that his transition back to his upstairs bedroom has been smooth. Praise that his passion continues with his art and is providing not only purpose but encouragement. Prayer Requests…1. Sight. He has new glasses that he dislikes. (these were the inexpensive lenses are in stock glasses) Please pray that the upgraded pair arrive BEFORE he goes back to school. Pray that he cooperates to wear glasses consistently. Or at least until he can manage contacts again. Pray that we see more gains with his right side peripheral vision. 2. Accommodations. His school has been very supportive. But it is very difficult to know what to ask for. Revise his 504 or upgrade to an IEP? The goal is to set him up for success without deflating his spirited confidence. The hard part is that his capabilities are a moving target. Please pray for wisdom and for the right resources to be known. 3. Pray for Becca. Ms independent self sufficient Becca can get lost in the shuffle. So proud of her for deleting her twitter during finals. (her decision entirely!) Pray especially for her finals this week and that she stays healthy while burning the candle at both ends.
