Prajnesh Gunneswaran retires in quarterfinals NEW DELHI, SEPT. 21: The fourth-seeded Prajnesh Gunneswaran suffered a bout of cramps and retired early in the third set in the quarterfinals of the $10,000 ITF men’s Futures tennis tournament in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The 23-year-old Prajnesh, who has won two singles titles this season, limped out when his opponent, the fifth-seeded Karim-Mohamed Maamoun of Egypt led 7-6(5), 4-6, 1-0. The talented left-hander from Chennai, Prajnesh, however, made the doubles final with Issam Haitham Taweel of Syria as the duo beat Maxim Kravtsov and Ivan Nedelko of Russia 6-1, 6-4. in the semifinals.
