Prattville Intermediate School sixth-grader Katherine Steele designed the winning patch for the Cubes in Space Mission, part of NASA’s Cubes in Space Program. Students, ages 11-14, world-wide participated in the Program providing the opportunity to design and launch an experiment into space. A secondary part of the competition was to design the mission patch for this years Cubes in Space Mission. Katherine’s winning patch design will be converted into an actual patch that will be launched into space on June 26th. NASA will present Katherine with a patch to keep after it returns from space. Congratulations Katherine for this huge accomplishment!
