Pray For Him “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man - TopicsExpress

Pray For Him “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16b Behind every great man there’s a great woman of prayer. It is our responsibility as wives to pray for our husbands, covering every area of their lives. The enemy is on the prowl, looking to confuse, seduce, derail and discourage men. If he can take a godly man out, he can destroy an entire household and negatively impact future generations. Let God use you to stop Satan’s assignation plot against your husband through prayer. When you pray, pray specifically according to the Word of God. When you pray, forgive him and release to God all resentment that you may have held in your heart against your husband. When you pray, repent of anything you may have done or said to contribute to the hurt he feels. Then follow it up with actions of love. Love him. You have to love him as if he is doing everything right. Faith without works is dead, but faith with works is alive and powerful (James 2:20). Maybe your husband doesn’t spend time with you anymore, maybe he doesn’t touch you anymore, or hasn’t taken the spiritual lead in the home. You may feel all prayed out and have no more tears to cry. God knows and He cares. He’s there to help you do what have been impossible to do on your own. Sister, be encouraged. Don’t stop praying and don’t stop loving him. Wait on God to do what He promised you. God said, “All things are possible to him that believes (Mark 9:23).” All things are possible to a wife that believes. God will honor the heartfelt prayers you pray over him because He loves you and He loves your husband a great deal. Prayer: Heavenly Father, I love You and I trust You. Thank You for my husband. I cover him in prayer right now. I rebuke every plot and scheme of the enemy against his life, his mind, his heart and his vision. I release my faith in You Lord that You will do a great work in his life. You said all things are possible to him that believes. I believe You Lord. I choose to love him, forgive him and release him to You. Forgive me of any sin in my heart and anything I may have said or done that hurt You and him. Cause him to encounter Your intense love. I trust You Lord and I receive Your peace now and soundness of mind. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Prayers to pray over him: Psalms 91; Psalms 112; Ephesians 1:17-19; Ephesians 3:14-20
