The Standing in the Gap Prayer Team, is seeking the faithful who will commit to be part of praying for Belize and for Peace in Jerusalem. LET US PRAY: FOR OUR COUNTRY, PRIME MINISTER, OTHER LEADERS AND GOVERNMENT. Prayer for Those in Authority I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, Who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. Our Father in heaven, who have given us this good land for our heritage: Here we are, “Standing in the Gap” together with all our Prayer Warriors and Life FM, on behalf of our family and friends, our neighbors and love ones, our people as a nation, our Prime Minister, government and all those in Authority. We humbly approach your throne my father, to ask that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of your favor and glad to do your will. Bless our land with honorable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; Oh my Father, from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion us into one united people brought forth out of many Cultures and tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in your Name, we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to your word, we may show your praise among the nations of this earth. Father, In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in you to fail; Grant to our Prime Minister, The honorable Dean Oliver Barrow; The Leader of the Opposition, the Honorable Francis Fonseca; and to all ministers of Government, and heads of departments, authority, wisdom and strength to know and to do your will. Fill them with the love of truth and righteousness, and make them ever mindful of their calling to serve this people in the fear of God; Father Your Word in Psalm 33:12 reminds us that “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” and from Proverbs 14:34 that “righteousness exalteth a Nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” O Lord our Ruler, whose glory is in all your people: We commend this nation to your merciful care, that, being guided by your Providence, we may dwell secure in peace and safety. Thank you my Father, as we now pray for Peace in Jerusalem. Because the Sovereign LORD helps me I will not be disgraced. NLT “Our Heavenly Father, Israel’s Rock and Redeemer, Bless the State of Israel, the first flowering of our redemption. Shield it under the wings of Your loving kindness And spread over it the Tabernacle of Your peace. Send Your light and truth to its leaders, ministers and officials, And direct them with good counsel before You.” “Strengthen the hands of the defenders of your Holy land; Grant them deliverance, O God, And crown them with the crown of victory. Grant peace in the land and everlasting joy to its inhabitants.” “As for our brother, the whole house of Israel, Remember them in all the lands of their dispersion, And swiftly lead them upright to Zion your Holy city, And Jerusalem Your dwelling place, As is written in the laws of Moses Your servant: ‘Even if you are scattered to the furthermost land under the heavens, From there the Lord your God will gather you and take you back. The Lord your God will bring you to the land Your ancestors possessed and you will possess it; And He will make you more prosperous and numerous than your ancestors.’” Deuteronomy 30:4-5 We ask you o Father, to keep watch over Jerusalem your Holy City. Preserve and protect Your Chosen People who dwell there. “We pray for the leaders of Israel, President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Nir Barkat the Mayor of the Holy City as well as the military leaders and officers. Protect and preserve them and give them wisdom from on High. I pray for Christians the world over to recognize the unique position of Jerusalem in the Prophetic Promises of God for her end-time purposes.” Let those who curse Your name be brought down. Raise up all who faithfully call upon Your name for deliverance, health and prosperity. “Unite our hearts to love and revere Your name And observe all the words of Your Torah, And swiftly send us Your righteous anointed one of the house of David; To redeem those who long for Your salvation.” Thank you my Lord for answering all that we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord.
