Pray for Cypress Chapel &Poplar Spring. Both are towards the center of the association. There are many people not connected with a church. Pray that Gods Word will come alive in the minds &hearts of people - us, members of our churches, church leaders, state/national government leaders. Imagine what would happen if Gods Word came alive in our hearts &minds. This is day 23 of our 31 Days of Prayer. I read you have to do something 28days before it becomes habit. I trust you will develop the habit of daily praying for the churches of TRBA &the work God has called us to do together. I want you to think of the need for a compass. Imagine hiking through a thick forest &you realize you have strayed way off path. You reach into your jacket pocket, expecting to bring out your compass . You feel nothing &suddenly realize you left your compass at home. Take away this kind of guidepost, & we lose direction. We need a compass to find true north again. Think of our homes - churches - our nation. Being way off path seems to be where we are today. Morally & spiritually we have lost our way. Even worse, we seem to have rejected the compass of Gods Word which can help us find true north. Gods Word can get us on track again and we need to look to it. At some point today, each of us will need a compass to guide us with difficult decisions. Well reach in our pockets for our compass, seeking true north. Some days we discover its not all that handy/weve left it home. Have you hidden Gods Word in your heart so it will be fresh &alive in your mind when you are struggling to find your way? A few weeks back I saw a YouTube video of a group East Asia. In a place where they are persecuted for their faith. Most likely, they were in an underground church setting. They were receiving the Bible in their heart language for the first time. As they were handed the Bible, they wept & praised God. May we thirst for His Word today. ow.ly/HbiGo
