Prayer Item: Dr. Trina who many of you know, who spoke to us this fall is in Sierra Leone. They are in the process of setting up a 20 bed unit to take suspected cases who may have ebola. A brief update she says, We will put them in isolation tents, run lab tests to see if they have ebola, and if positive we will likely transfer them to another facility where they do treatment only. ... They will have a team of 3 or 4 international and about 50 or 60 Sierra Leonians – many of which have survived ebola working with us to try and take control of this outbreak. She adds: For those prayer warriors out there – we really need more people. Christmas, the fears of returning home to a quarantine, etc are making it a bit more difficult for us to find staff to come in. We are looking for Christian doctors, nurses, PAs, NPs, anyone who may be willing and able to get about 6 weeks off work to come join us (6 weeks and 21 days of quarantine that is).
