Prayer Thought of the Day: January 23 When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions? Daniel 6:20 NIV If we are truthful, today’s verse reflects the very same worry that is too often on the looping news-feed of our mind; will our God rescue us? It is not so much we doubt His ability to rescue us but more will He choose to rescue us? The bottom line is we have to trust all of God or none of Him. That includes trusting God’s goodness and His will. Because we cannot see the big picture, we also have no way of knowing that God may actually be sparing us even greater pain by not allowing us to have our own way.
