Prayer for Music Ministry, March 24 The purpose of Christians in the Arts Network (CAN) is to encourage, connect, equip and mobilize musicians (and artists of all genres) to be creative leaders of a movement turning people to the worship of Jesus Christ in Japan and beyond. CANs projects include an annual Worship Seminar, Alleluia Seminars for local churches and Christian Leadership Training Center. japancan/ Pray for Easter Outreaches Even though Easter is not as well-known or celebrated as much as Christmas in Japan, Christs resurrection day provides an important opportunity for Japanese churches. For some churches it is a time to visit the churchs cemetery plot and remember those who have passed away. Other churches have baptisms and special activities for children, including Easter egg hunts. Osaka Easter Easter also is a time when area churches gather for a special Easter concert or evangelistic meeting. On April 13, 2008 at the Osaka Easter Rally 1,300 attended and many came forward to make spiritual decisions. (Picture by The Christian, April 27, 2008)
