Prayer for a single dad. God, I am amazed by Your precious gift You have given me, my wonderful daughter. When I look at her, I am able to see Your love for me, and my heart is joyful. With all my fear, excitement, uncertainty, and ignorance in raising a child, I pray for Your help daily. May I be a loving father to her, a father that when she is all grown, she will look back and say I was there for her and did a good job. God, I pray for all that is required to be a good Christian dad. I pray for love in my heart, patience, kindness, compassion, wisdom, forgiveness, and faith that I will remain strong in You and Your grace. God, draw me close to You, that I may feel Your warm, loving touch, and give me the ability to pass that on to those in my life. Thank You, God, for Your love for me, and thank You for my daughter. Please look after her, Lord, and protect her. May she grow up knowing and loving You. Amen.
