Prayer for today: COMPLAINING-Dear Lord & Savior, Help me to be a person who is satisfied with the blessings that You give me, as Hebrews 13:5 tells me I should be. So often I find myself complaining about my job, my family, my spouse-basically about everything in my life. I don`t know why I am always so negative. Lord, please change me to be like the apostle Paul who described himself in Philippians 4:11 as having learned to be content no matter what his situation might be. I don`t know why I continue to find fault with not only myself, but others as well. Nothing is ever good enough, & I feel so unhappy inside. Please fill me with a stronger desire to walk with You that I may reflect Your character within me. I know how strongly You feel about complaining, for in numbers 11:1 You have said that when the people complained, it displeased You. And in Philippians 2:14 You instruct me to do "Do all things without complaining & disputing". Help me to be a person who speaks kindly & politely, one who is sensitive to the feeling of others. May the words of my mouth cease to complain & only bring You praise. Amen.".....Passionate Prayer Promises, pg. 42
