Prayer of the Dying - Gods Failed Creation reviewed by Ed Sangwitok Zine Hmm.. first of all thx so much to Martin for this great fukkin CD. Ok, Gods Failed Creation is the latest album from Prayer Of The Dying. I was quite confused actually when I saw the front cover page of this album as there was no sign of the band logo as usual hahaa.. I thought it could be another new band from Martin as he was involved in few side bands before. Well its indeed another new opus from POTD and I think it was more darker than before. As I refer to the artwork at the frontpage then straight away you will know what was inside of this album. The artwork quite grim and a bit medieval style which I would say a conflict between the good and the evil. You can see deep inside the tree there was the Evilly Horned torturing his slaves. Hmm.. good artworks anyway. Hah, lets forget about that and focus on this album hahaa.. So we have about 12 trax in this album which I would say the style still similar as previous opus. Grim BM and a bit depressive. Hmm.. quite interesting riffs as you can have lots of catchy parts and a bit creative guitar works and the solo parts. The vocals totally evil and very much extreme hahaa.. I think Martin did a very good job in this new album and this times he was help by the various great musicians and individuals. Well nothing much to say as this album is absolutely perfect in all aspects. Martin definitely did lots of improvement in this album and I think it worth you hard work bro.. Good job! Hmm.. one thing that I need to say here is that we have one instrumental trax which is A Life Without End that was specially created as the tribute to the late Quorthon. Hah, quite inspiring song bro hahaa.. So thats all folk. Get this album if you are the loyal supporter of POTD and for those who are not that into brutal or extreme BM then this shit album is good for you. It just fall in the middle of an extreme BM and the catchy melodic BM.
