Prayer request for a friend and colleague. Shawn P Bennett runs the ABQ Area Forecast Office, for the National Weather Service. He works closely with all the media, Wildfire teams, EMS Personnel and numerous other groups to keep us safe and well informed with accurate weather info. I visited him at the hospital today, where is recovering from a very serious surgery, to remove cancer from his bladder. Shawn is in good spirits, but dealing with a LOT of pain. Once he is well enough, he will begin Chemo treatments. His wife just underwent surgery and Radiation treatments for breast cancer earlier this year. Please join me in praying for both of them, and their young daughter, as my friend Shawn works his way through recovery.
