Prayer warriors, you are needed NOW. In my last update, Daniel would be seeing several doctors this week to determine how to heal his wound. However, as of today, he has had another surgery and is facing some challenges. I am going to quote Dawns text message to me just a while ago. She had called Tuesday saying that Dr. Phillips had determined at his appointment that morning that Daniel would be hospitalized and surgery was scheduled for today. Here is all I know at the moment: Daniel is out of surgery from mid-afternoon and back in his room. He has a new and different wound vacuum on his back and he has 2 ivs. They tried for pic lines while he was under several times and were unsuccessful. He may need another broviac line. They took cultures to see if there are any new germs. He will be inpatient for about 2 weeks or so. Dr. Phillips took pictures and video for the plastic surgeon. They are conferring together about skin graft and moving muscle tissue to pad and support the rod area. Not sure but it will be at least one more surgery and Dr. Phillips guessed not til next week. The plastic surgeon is a reconstructive doctor and not just a cosmetic guy :-), so thats encouraging!! As you can see from her smiley face in the last sentence that she still has a little humor left in her soul. That being said, we really need you and all your prayer warriors, chains, etc to pray for Daniel, his doctors, and his family for strength, guidance, knowledge, and rest so this journey for Daniel can be solved and complete healing occur. I hope to talk to Dawn this weekend to see what their game plan is for help from us, if needed. They are strong people and Morgan, April, and Matthew are quite self-sufficient.
