Prayers 04032014 R. Nelson Conley, DD You know we all should pray, pray without ceasing, pray with intent and pray for each other. In 1 Samuel 1:10, Hannah prays and weeps bitterly unto the Lord. From Kings to Revelations prayer is mentioned as the source of communication with our Heavenly Father. We are reminded through out the bible that God hears and answer prayers, in 2 Chronicles 6:35, we hear the plea for prayer and hope for Israel. We should pray without ceasing, having tender and humble requests and we must be thankful and assured that our prayer will be heard, for the prayers of the saints are listened too and will always be dear to God. In Ezra 9:6 New International Version (NIV) “I am too ashamed and disgraced, my God, to lift up my face to you, because our sins are higher than our heads and our guilt has reached to the heavens. Their is no reason not to pray, regardless of your sin, your condition or your ability: be childlike and pray the words of your heart. Prayer is the universal language of heaven. Everyone of every religion prays from simple prayers to those who sound like songs and and those who pray often get results! Look at Adam, at Moses, at John the Baptist, Joseph and Mary and all the disciples. Hear the words of Jesus prayer in the garden. Even on the cross, Christ prayed, Forgive them Father, they know not what they do. Start a new cycle in your life as a Christian and include prayer in your daily walk and talk with Christ. I conclude today with this; I pray for you today, to find peace, compassion and understanding in learning to talk with God. Be humble and remember prayer is more than just words, it is the vital needs and Thank Yous to a merciful Lord and Father. May you always have enough!
