Prayers and sympathy to the family of Robert B. Tucker, a Berkeley, resident and architect for 50 years in San Francisco Bay Area died on December 29, 2014, from pneumonia and complications from Parkinsons Disease. Bob grew up in Monroe, N.C. and the son of the late Ira and Joe Tucker. His wife Jean Hill tucker was born and raised in Marshville, N.C. A lifelong learner, he was founding member of Berkeley Montessori School and president for two years. He built and supported a village school in Mali, Africia, to honor his wife, a retired school teacher. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean Hill Tucker and three daughters, Lisa Tucker of New York City; Ana Tucker Kyriakos (Dennis) of Oakland; Emily Tucker McNamara (Jacob) and four grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Betty Tucker McNamara of Chelmsford, Massachusetts. His memorial will be held at The Berekley City Club on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 2-5 p.m.
