Prayers coveted . Less than 18 hrs after arriving to start our vacation, I awoke had horrible chest pain and shoulder pain . Robbie brought me to new local hospital . Had CT done on my heart lungs and after 9 TRIES to get a large enough vein to take the pressure of 10 sec an 1500 cc push of dye they started. Just as it was done , THE VEIN RUPTURED AND DYE WAS IN MY SKIN :( I had immediate baseball sized ball on my arm . People coming in from every direction to control situation . Test was completed and pictures were clear that was the good news. Bad news I had a large blood clot pass through my heart into both lungs . I now have pulmonary emboli ( showers of blood clots in my lungs! ) They have taken 2 xrays to look at dye in my skin and def improvement was being made to get it dissipated . Looks very good today . I was admitted to hospital OBVIOUSLY .Staff has been amazingly attentive . No real treatment for those clots in there but getting blood thinners to prevent more . Will learn more from specialist Dr today . Day 2 of vacation def changed everything :(( Hoping I am released today . On a positive note: Brand new hospital and a room with a view , but I bet the nightly rate is outrageous !
