Prayers for Joseph: That the doctors will find the source of the fungal infection and know best how to treat it. Praying he will be able to get the permanent Hickman line put in next week. I know and trust it is all in Gods timing. The kids are all coming up this weekend and are going to enjoy being together even if it is in Josephs hospital room. By the way, God provided Joseph with the largest hospital room last weekend. It was the only open room when we were admitted last weekend. He knew we would need it this coming weekend:) God truly sends rainbows in the midst of storms. We just need to look for them. As we all pray for Joseph and so many others that are going through very difficult situations, it is hard sometimes not to question the goodness of God. As I look at Joseph and so many other sick children every day, I realize what sin has done to this world. I see a fallen creation so far from what God in His goodness and mercy created and desired for us from the garden of Eden. The goodness and love of God made a perfect world, with no sin, sickness or death. When Adam and Eve chose to disobey His one rule, sin entered. And with sin entered sickness and death. The goodness and love of God sent His only Son to redeem our souls from this sin, sick world. The goodness and love of God is preparing a place in heaven (where there is no sin, sickness or death) for all those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Our lives here on earth are such a blip on the timeline of eternity. Our choices whether to believe Gods Word or not is the only thing that will matter in eternity. When I look at all the suffering children, I see what sin has done to this world, and it is not what God ever intended. I know God could prevent all this, but He didnt prevent His own Son from being brutally murdered on a cross for the salvation of all those who chose to believe in Him. I am choosing to believe in the goodness and love of God in the midst of a sin, sick world. Where everything may not go according to our plans, but God is always a refuge, a strong tower, a place of peace and strength in times of trouble. “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
