Prayers that Prevail! It is a sin to withold prayer from anybody, unless God demands such withdrawal! Even enemies must be prayed for. The content of the prayers for the unkind, the indifferent, the unloving, the antagonistic, the rude and the crude, has to be guided by the Holy Spirit - not only by emotions! God has elected to handle your enemies on your behalf; but you must pray for them! We refer only to human enemies here. As for demons, we have a divine prescription for them! Sometimes avoiding physical confrontation with people would pave a way for intercession for them. Dont allow personal relations to suffocate your prayers for the bad guy. The bad guy needs more prayers than the good guy. Therefore, it is unwise to withdraw or withhold intercession for the bad guy. The prophet Samuel tells backslidden King Saul that I will not sin against God by ceasing to pray for you. Pray for the bad guy! Pray through pain! Christ interceded for those who crucified Him and during the crucifixion. Stephen prayed for those who were stoning him! Pray for those who abuse and persecute you! Selah!
