Praying to get an answer When Adam was tempted he yielded his will to the enemy he did exactly what he was trying to get him to do. He disobeyed God and submitted himself to the devil. When he did he relinquished the vast authority God had given him. The Bible tells us in James 4:7 to submit ourselves to God and to resist the devil. But if you buy into the theology that says that everything that happens is of the hand of God and we should have faith that God is in control; that whatever has happened in your life is of the hand of God to teach you something, then you become passive and you won’t resist the devil. We are just taught to submit to whatever happens as being God’s will for our lives. That is a lie from hell! The Bible teaches very plainly in the New Testament that we are to resist the devil and that we can pray and change things. Paul taught in Ephesians, Chapter 6 that we are to STAND AGAINST the wiles of the devil! Wiles are his trickeries and schemes. They are misconceptions that he propagates about our wonderful God! Why pray if you can’t change things? Basic foundational, fundamental gospel is that we have the right as Christians to pray. We don’t have to accept that whatever will be- will be! No! Foundational, apostolic, biblical faith is based on the fact that we can pray and God will answer! We are the people that can pray! That’s what makes us different and sets biblical Christianity apart from religion!
