Pre-Season complete: Game 1: Pre-Season Date: 29/07/2014 Venue: The City Ground Nottingham Forest 2 Real Madrid 3 38 mins- Powell- Abdoun corner headed in by Powell at the front post. 49 mins- Vaughan- Throw in on the left hand side taken short by Fox to Abdoun who beats Illarramendi then plays a pass square to Vaughan just outside the D. He takes a touch and fires in left footed from all of 25 yards. 62 mins- Modric- Ball given away cheaply by Powell on the edge of his own area, Modric controls well, beats Powell and fires low past de Vries via the post. 68 mins- Ronaldo- Defence splitting pass by Kroos, controlled in his stride by Ronaldo who then delicately dinks over de Vries from 10 yards. 86 mins- Ronaldo- Another defence splitting pass by Kroos, controlled well by Ronaldo beats Hunt then bends the ball past de Vries into the left hand corner. Game 2: Pre-Season Date: 01/08/2014 Venue: Selhurst Park Crystal Palace 1 Nottingham Forest 1 54 mins- Bannan missed penalty- Souttar scythes down Jedinak on the edge of the 18 yard box and the ref rightly points to the spot. But Bannan steps up left footed, stutters his run up and fires a shot to the keepers right but straight into Darlow and away from danger. 67 mins- Williams- Straight from kick off Jedinak passes to Campbell who beats Hobbs and Fox but his effort at goal is saved point blank by Darlow, but unfortunately it falls to Williams whos shot deflects in via Hobbs knee. 65 mins- Fryatt- Burke beats Binnom-Williams for pace down the right and leaves him on his backside, he then dribbles on and plays a low but pacey cross across the face of goal for Fryatt to slam home past the desperate keeper from 6 yards. Game 3: Pre-Season Date: 04/08/2014 Venue: The City Ground Nottingham Forest 1 Waasland Beveren 0 62 mins- Assombalonga- Reid corner swung into Assombalonga who powers a header past the keeper. Decent pre-season a win, a draw and a loss. Im a lil peeved that we lost the Real game i felt we had it in the bag once the second goal went in, but as soon as they bought Kroos on he made the difference by playing 2 outstanding through balls and with the strike force they had against us (Ronaldo, Rodriguez, Benzema and Bale) i knew they would punish us. The second game I felt we were on top and as soon as we got one i felt we could have got more, but well as soon as we got one they hit back right away and from then on we lost momentum, i was sure that they would have scored the penalty they had earlier in the game but luckily super Karl Darlow kept it out! The third and final game we just pinged the ball about and tried to make opening I hoped once we got one more would follow but we only managed it once and i was ultimately proved wrong. Sorry for the bulk of text but i wanted to merge all of Pre-Season into one post so i was posting less often... of course the next games will be one match report per post but i spent all afternoon playing these games and with me playing other online games i was distracted and was unable to get this post out earlier. Anyway im babbling now as its very late im gonna leave the session here for this evening. I will post more tomorrow and hopefully get the games rolling. Until then have a safe night.
