Pre listing inspection tip: Because its a safety issue any outlet near a plumbing fixture that is not a dedicated appliance outlet is required to be GFCI protected. If it is not it will be listed in a home inspection report. A home inspector will also test outlets near plumbing for correct wiring. Non grounded outlets in these areas are considered a safety issue that should be reported to the client.
