Pre-school Bitty Ballerinas (ages 3&4) This introductory program is designed for preschoolers who would like to learn the basics of ballet. Each class will have a brief warm-up followed by ballet technique. Instructors are top competition dancers/assistant teachers from Metro Dance Center. Tuesdays, 5:30 - 6:00 PM Session I: Sept 10 – Oct 15 SLP City Hall Fee: $30 / child #SLP13-Y23 Hip Hop (ages 5-8) This dance class will introduce youth to jazz dance styles and techniques. Students will learn movements, terminology and proper execution of age/ability appropriate steps, while dancing to upbeat energetic music. Soft soled shoes are required, leotards recommended - comfortable clothing acceptable. Parents are invited to observe the last class. Tuesdays, 6:00 - 6:30 PM Session I: Sept 10 – Oct 15 SLP City Hall Fee: $30 / child Tumbling (grades preschool-K) This is the perfect introductory class for your preschool or kindergartner. Students will learn basic tumbling moves and techniques. Instructors are brought to you by Luann Burger, founder of the Metro Dance Center. Wednesdays, 5:15 – 5:45 PM Session I: Sept 11– Nov 13 (8 wks) SLP City Hall Fee: $40 / child #SLP13-Y26 Tumbling (grades 1-3) This is an introduction to class for first – third graders. This class offers a first look into basic tumbling skills. It will help with coordination, dance, stamina, and confidence. Students will learn basic tumbling moves and techniques.
