Preached the funeral of a member today who discovered he had cancer. We got to know each other better after he came and told me he had 6 months to live. Lived a wild life for a while but ended it right. He was 65. I did not know that one of the last things he wanted done was to double the amount he pledged to our church vision campaign. They brought it to the funeral. He wanted to see the vision go forth. Doubled it on his deathbed. I wouldnt have another job if you tried to pay me! Thats humbling and shout worthy.
