(But Ruth replied, Dont urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.) Ruth spoke about covenant words. 1 Chronicles 11:1 (All Israel came together to David at Hebron and said, We are your own flesh and blood.) 1 Chronicles 12:18 (Then the Spirit came on Amasai, chief of the Thirty, and he said: We are yours, David! We are with you, son of Jesse! Success, success to you, and success to those who help you, for your God will help you. So David received them and made them leaders of his raiding bands.) Talking about Covenant is not about the spirit of the moment, or saying things without thinking, but as far as covenant is concerned, every word must be weighted. A covenant,t is an agreement. Where 2 or three agreed, I am among them. A covenant with somebody is forever. Covenant is not based on things in common, but on uncommon. . Covenant is binding. Eg. Marriages In covenant, people dont help each others on strength basis, but on weakness basis. Marriage is a covenant relationship. Covenant goes from generations to generations. 1 Samuel 18:3-4 (And Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself. Jonathan took off the robe he was wearing and gave it to David, along with his tunic, and even his sword, his bow and his belt.) In a covenant, each part play it own role. If one stops doing its part, things fall apart. When you cut covenant, before saying anything, you must think. Covenant is powerful, Covenant stand for generations, Covenant honors God. Covenant have to be cherished. Covenant gives new names. In the covenant of Jesus and the Church, he gave it all to us without withholding anything. That the power of the blood of the covenant that Jesus gave to the church.
